Residential Christmas Light Installation Terms

Parties Involved

This contract is between Clean Green Light Pros (hereafter referred to as “Installer”) and the homeowner (hereafter referred to as “Client”) for the installation, maintenance, takedown, and storage of holiday lights at the property specified.

Services Provided

Design and Consultation: Installer will work with the Client to design a custom lighting display. A detailed plan will be submitted and approved by the Client before installation.

Installation: Installer will safely install the lights and decorations at the property using electric-powered equipment and energy-efficient LED lights.

Maintenance: Complimentary service calls are provided to address any equipment malfunctions or installation issues between installation and December 22nd. Service calls not related to equipment malfunction or installation issues (damage from weather, or damage caused by client) will be billed at $100/hr.

Takedown and Storage: Installer will remove lights and decorations at the end of the season, usually between January 3-31… weather permitting.

Materials

All lights, cords, timers, and decorations will be provided by the Installer unless otherwise agreed upon.

Any additional decorations provided by the Client must be approved for use by the Installer.

Client-provided decorations are not covered by the complimentary service call clause above.

Electrical Requirements

The Client is responsible for providing adequate, safe electrical outlets and circuits to support the lighting display. Installer is not responsible for faulty or overloaded circuits.

Payment Terms

A 50% deposit is due upon acceptance of the contract. The remaining balance is due immediately after installation.

Late payments are subject to a fee of $50 per day until paid in full.

Additional Fees

Any changes requested by the Client after installation begins may result in additional charges.

Liability

Installers will not be held liable for any damage to the property caused by the lighting display after installation, including damage caused by weather or electrical overload.

The Client is responsible for any damages caused by interference with the installation (e.g., tampering by animals or unauthorized use of lights by the Client).

Cancellation

Either party may terminate this contract prior to installation with 15 days’ written notice.

Cancellations made by the client less than 15 days prior to the installation date will incur a cancellation fee of 25% of the total final estimate, not including custom-ordered decorations and lights.

Any custom-ordered decorations and lights are non-refundable and not reflected in the 25% cancellation fee.

Warranty

The Installer guarantees that lights will function properly through December 22, with a free repair service for any installation issues. This does not include damage caused by external factors such as weather or pets.

Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from this contract will be resolved through mediation. If mediation fails, the dispute will be settled in a court of competent jurisdiction in Knox County, Tennessee.

Media Release

The Client agrees that photos or videos of the decorated property may be used by the Installer for marketing purposes.
